About The No.10 Women's Football

The No.10 Women's Football is an independent data platform for the women's game. We track market values, transfers and advanced statistics for players across the world's top competitions — the NWSL, WSL, Liga F, Frauen-Bundesliga, Division 1 Féminine, the UWCL and more. Our goal is to give women's football the same depth of data, rankings and player intelligence that the men's game has taken for granted for decades.

Editorial standards

We hold every published figure to three rules:

  • We never fabricate. A statistic we don't hold is shown as missing, not filled with a placeholder. A player without enough data to value is marked "valuation pending" rather than given an invented number.
  • We show our sources. Every statistic records which provider wrote it and with what confidence, and profile pages surface that provenance. Rows imported before we tracked this are marked `legacy` and name no provider — 22,133 metric writes across 1,470 players, which we flag rather than dress up as attributed.
  • We separate fact from estimate. Transfer fees are labelled confirmed or reported; market values are always presented as model estimates with a confidence interval, never as official release clauses.

Where our data comes from

Statistics are merged from three providers with per-metric provenance: API-Football and Sportmonks (licensed APIs) and StatsBomb Open Data (a free public dataset, not a licensed feed). When two sources disagree the higher-confidence source wins, and a source that lacks a metric never blanks another source's value. Some advanced metrics (xA, progressive passes, xG against for goalkeepers) are derived from StatsBomb event data using documented heuristics. Player and club identities are linked to authoritative references such as Wikidata and Wikipedia where available.

The three are not equal in volume, and the shape matters more than the list. On 27 July 2026: API-Football had written 125,610 metric values across 3,934 players, Sportmonks 56,692 across 1,725, and StatsBomb 21,901 across 465 — StatsBomb is the deepest and the narrowest. A further 22,133 writes predate provenance tracking and name no provider.

The full valuation model and statistical catalogue are documented, coefficient by coefficient, on our Methodology page. It is a transparent, versioned formula — not a black box.

Images & photo rights

Player photos and club crests come from our licensed data providers — today Sportmonks (1,568 published photos) and API-Sports (493). We also support Wikimedia Commons images under free licences (CC BY / CC BY-SA / public domain), crediting author and licence on the page, but that path has produced no photos in production so far: we would rather tell you a capability is unused than let you assume it is in play. Crests and competition logos are used solely to identify the entity they represent — an editorial, informational use that implies no affiliation or endorsement. We never use player photos in advertising, and where no properly licensed image exists we show a generated avatar instead.

We aim to record source and licence for every photo we serve, and on 27 July 2026 we did so for 2,061 of 2,133. The remaining 72 carry neither, which is a gap we are closing rather than a policy — until they do, they are images we serve without being able to show you their provenance. If you own the rights to an image shown here and want it corrected or removed, contact us and we will act promptly.

Corrections

We get things wrong, and we fix them in the open. Every player profile has a "Suggest an edit" and "Report an error" action; club profiles do not have them yet, so corrections about a club go to the address below. Verified corrections are applied to the underlying record, so the fix propagates everywhere that data appears — not just the page you reported it on. When a valuation or a fact changes materially, the change is versioned.

Use of AI

Some features — the "Ask Theno" assistant and AI scouting summaries — are generated with large language models on top of our own structured data. AI-assisted content is labelled as such, is grounded in the statistics shown on the page, and never sets a market value: valuations come only from the deterministic model described in our Methodology. AI output is a convenience layer over the data, not a source of it.

Advertising & independence

The No.10 is supported by advertising. Ad units are clearly delimited and kept separate from editorial and data content, and advertisers have no influence over rankings, valuations, statistics or editorial coverage. Where an article contains an affiliate link, it is disclosed. We honour user consent for personalised advertising under GDPR (Google Consent Mode v2) — no advertising cookies are set until you accept.
